The pre-ride (28&29th April)

On the saturday 28th and sunday 29th of April, Mont Le Soie will organize a serie of competitions for senior and young riders, all in FEI classes. This will be a unique opportunity for the national squads to discover the competition.

Everyone knows of course how important it is to prepare well in advance all details concerning their participation to a big event.

 

On the saturday 28th of April, 4 international competitions:

° CEI**YR120km and CEI*YR100km

° CEI***160km

° CEI**120km.

 

On the sunday 29th of April, 2 international competitions:

° CEI**120km

° CEI*100km.

About Mont Le Soie

The venue of Mont Le Soie is hosting the "Centre du Cheval / Centre of the Horse", an organisation coupled with the University of Liège whose objectives are to develop the cooperation between the researchers and horse owners.

The Centre comprises several facilities including a very large outdoor sandy arena (which will be used during the event as vetgate zone), two large indoor arena, a grass cross-country field and various pastures.

Riders and their crew will be allowed to camp inside the venue providing they do respect the natural environment.

Endurance in Belgium

Endurance started in Belgium in 1986 under the impulse of a few fanatics led by Michel Troisfontaines who is still a well-respected FEI official. The Belgian riders have collected numerous titles on the international scene, would that be with the national squad or individually.

The major achievements of the Belgian squad is the individual and team wins at the European Championship in Compiègne in 2005. Before that, Dominique Crutzen won also the title of European champion in 1988 at Montelimar, France.
